BACKGROUND OF GMLC

October 1971

Conception

Upon reaching the UK in October 1971 the founder founded a dream that away from India all Indians are known as only INDIANS.

The aim was to INTEGRATE all Indians by binding them across a wide gamut of different Indian languages, cultures and religions.

1975

Initiative

Deputy High Commissioner at HCI London Mr K Natwar Singh was approached in 1975 to help realise this dream.

Nothing could be done until 1995.

December 1994

An Angelic Reminder

Founder fell seriously ill in December 1994 and had a near death encounter in February 1995. He was reminded by some angel, perhaps the angel of death, about his dream to INTEGRATE all Indians.

Dedication

The group was named after a teen ager who had died of cancer in India in 1977.
