BACKGROUND OF GMLC
October 1971
Conception
Upon reaching the UK in October 1971 the founder founded a dream that away from India all Indians are known as only INDIANS.
The aim was to INTEGRATE all Indians by binding them across a wide gamut of different Indian languages, cultures and religions.
1975
Initiative
Deputy High Commissioner at HCI London Mr K Natwar Singh was approached in 1975 to help realise this dream.
Nothing could be done until 1995.
December 1994
An Angelic Reminder
Founder fell seriously ill in December 1994 and had a near death encounter in February 1995. He was reminded by some angel, perhaps the angel of death, about his dream to INTEGRATE all Indians.
30th April 1995
Foundation
The group was established on 30th April 1995, having got encouragement from the then High Commissioner at HCI London Late Dr. L.M. Singhvi.
1996
Dedication
The group was named after a teen ager who had died of cancer in India in 1977.
